You are not sold on the content: how to say so without burning the bridge

The video arrives, you open it and something feels off. Maybe the shop looks bad, maybe a price is wrong, or maybe you simply do not recognise yourself in the tone. It is an awkward moment and it is often handled badly.

First, separate two different things

A mistake is a mistake: a wrong figure, opening hours that changed, your name misspelt, a product you do not sell. That always gets corrected and nobody argues.

Style is another matter. Not liking the pace, the music you would not have chosen, or the shot you had pictured is not a fault: it is their way of telling things, which is exactly what you went looking for.

How to ask

Be specific. "The price shown is out of date, it is €12 now" is fixed in a minute. "It doesn't quite convince me" cannot be fixed; it only creates awkwardness.

Prioritise. If you send nine comments, they all look equally important and none of them is. Send the two that genuinely matter.

And do it early. Asking for changes to something already published costs the other person far more, because it means deleting content that is already working.

What not to do

Rewriting the whole script and sending it back. If you end up dictating word by word, the content stops looking like a recommendation and starts looking like an advert — and their audience will notice before you do.

If it really did not work

It happens. You pay what was agreed, thank them for the work and do not repeat. Choosing not to collaborate again is perfectly normal; haggling after the work is done closes doors in a place where everybody knows everybody.
