What to expect from your first collaboration: the step-by-step guide

1. The proposal

Everything starts with a proposal: a business contacts a nearby creator, or a creator reaches out directly to a business they're interested in. Either way, both sides explain what's on offer and what's expected in return.

2. Accept or decline

The other side can accept or decline the proposal with no obligation. Declining costs nothing and carries no penalty — it's better to say no early than to accept something that doesn't fit.

3. The actual work

Once accepted, the part that happens outside the platform begins: visiting the business, creating the content, publishing it. CocoMuny doesn't dictate what that content should look like — that's agreed directly between the two parties.

4. Marking it as completed

Once the work is done, the business marks the collaboration as completed. That doesn't yet mean payment has happened — they're two separate steps, on purpose.

5. Confirming payment

The creator confirms once they've received the agreed payment. That confirmation is what makes the collaboration count as real income on their dashboard — so the system never assumes a payment that hasn't actually happened.

6. The mutual review

Finally, both sides can leave each other a review. It's mutual on purpose: both the business and the creator put their reputation on the line in every collaboration, not just one of them.
