September gets prepared now, not in September
The September return has something of a mass start about it: everyone comes back at once, everyone announces at once, and the available attention is the same as always.
Whoever arrives with things already agreed goes out in the first week. Whoever starts organising on 1 September goes out at the end of the month, once the moment has passed.
Talk now, publish later
Closing a collaboration takes time: writing, waiting for a reply, adjusting dates. All that back and forth can comfortably happen in August so that what gets published goes out in September.
Decide what you want to say on the return
Almost every business has something to launch in September — new hours, a new menu, a change to the place itself. If you are going to tell people, decide the what now, and everything else falls into place on its own.
Get the boring part ready
Updated photos, correct information wherever you have it published, September hours set before September starts. None of this gets done well in a hurry.
And do not leave it all for the 1st
The first week of September is not the time to organise anything, it is the time for it to be organised already. Half an hour now is worth a whole afternoon a month from now.
