Frequently asked questions when starting out as a local creator
Do I need lots of followers to get started?
No. What actually matters is that your audience is mostly from your own area. A small but local profile is worth more to a nearby business than a big one scattered across the world.
Do I have to pay anything to use CocoMuny?
No, never. On CocoMuny, the business is always the one who pays, through a subscription. The platform never charges the creator any commission, either upfront or on what they earn from collaborations.
How is the price of a collaboration decided?
It's agreed freely between you and the business, outside the platform. There's no official rate — every collaboration is different.
What happens if my location is private?
Your location is always shown approximately, never exactly — it's a deliberate privacy decision. Businesses do show their exact location, because they have a physical venue people need to be able to find.
When does a collaboration count as income?
Only once you confirm you've received the payment. The business marking the collaboration as completed isn't the same as it having been paid — the system waits for your explicit confirmation.
